National Week of Deaf People took place the 18th-24th September. It overlaps with International Day of Sign Language, giving more reason to celebrate the Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing communities. This year a morning tea was held by Deaf Connect with the theme being “A world where Deaf people everywhere can sign anywhere”. Read more in the media statement here.
