One in two people are now doing work-related training online, more than double the rate from four years ago, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). ABS data shows that the proportion doing work-related training online rose from 19% in 2016-17 to 55% in 2020-21. Work-related training in a classroom dropped from 69% to 37% over this time. Western Australia had the highest rates of classroom instruction of all the states (45.9%), however online learning in WA is on the rise.
