According to the LifeWorks Mental Health Index™, Australian employees are placing more importance on workplace flexibility – where, when and how they work – than career progression – compensation, promotions and professional development.
Key findings of the report were:
– 60% of working Australians say flexible work is more important to them than career progression
– 33% claim that flexibility is the most important action that their employer has taken to support mental health
– 20% say that employers making them feel valued is most important
– 18% state that empathy is most important to supporting mental health
