WorkSafe Western Australia has published a Statement of Regulatory intent that outlines its regulatory framework for the second year of the work health and safety (WHS) laws in WA.
In the statement, WorkSafe indicates that as a regulator, the health and safety of all workers in WA is paramount and the legislation aims to prevents work-related death, injury, or illness. WorkSafe, however, recognises that levels of compliance with the legislation vary across workplaces and industries, despite growing awareness of the WHS laws.
