The WA state government has extended the course fee reductions and fee freeze on targeted courses until December 2025. The Lower Fees, Local Skills initiative aims to support Western Australians to gain affordable qualifications in areas needed by local industry.
Designed to make training more affordable, the initiative has slashed course fees for 180 Vocational Education and Training qualifications by up to 72 per cent. Subsidised courses target skills needed to fill jobs now and into the future.
