New Work Health and Safety rules came into effect on 31 March 2022. The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 provides a framework to protect the health, safety and welfare of workers (including volunteers) in WA workplaces, and other people who might be affected by the work. The new laws bring together WHS for general industry, mines and petroleum operations under a single act.
