The WA Government is inviting the public to comment on the Pathways to Post-School Success Report: Consultation Draft. The senior secondary school pathways review aims to ensure Western Australian students have training and study pathways to reach their full potential.
The draft report reflects the extensive engagement undertaken with a broad range of stakeholders and highlights areas of success and potential improvements.
Through the consultation process to produce the report, 35 draft recommendations against three distinct areas have been proposed.
- Reframing the purposes of senior secondary education.
- A system built from learning goals.
- More fully recognising student diversity and achievement.
The report and proposed recommendations have wide-ranging implications for a broad range of stakeholders. To ensure the proposed recommendations meet State needs and aspirations, stakeholders and members of the public are invited to submit a response. Submissions close on 16 August 2024.
