The WA Government has committed funding towards strengthening regional bushfire management. The funding will take effect in the 2024-2025 budget and will be directed towards employing an additional 34 staff and securing firefighting equipment. New hires will include 20 frontline firefighters deployed throughout the South West, Great Southern and Perth Hills.
