The last few weeks in December saw the team out and about meeting with different stakeholders. Thank you to the following organisations who took the time to meet with us during what can be a busy time of year.
The WA Local Government Association (WALGA) who updated us about their new training on scope for 2022 which will include delivering the Diploma of Local Government – Elected Member training which was released as a new qualification in February 2021.
The focus was on urban pest management with the team meeting with:
The Science and Environment team at South Metropolitan TAFE where we discussed the current delivery of the Certificate III in Urban Pest Management.
The Environmental Health group at the Department of Health where the conversation focused on mutual recognition and licensing regime in WA for urban pest management.
PEST Australia where we discussed delivery of urban pest management training following changes to the licensing requirements put in place by the Department of Health.
