Almost one-third of businesses in Australia are having difficulty finding staff, according to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The ABS survey for business conditions and sentiments for June found that the most frequently reported reasons were a lack of applicants (79%) and applicants not having the required skills (59%) with building trade workers, clerical workers, labourers, sales staff and hospitality workers the hardest to find.
