Last month the State Government launched three new codes of practice covering inappropriate workplace behaviours.
– The Code of Practice on Workplace Behaviour
– The Code of Practice on Violence and Aggression at Work
– The Code of Practice on Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace
WA is the first state to formally recognise insecure work as a health hazard within The Code of Practice on Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace. A psychosocial hazard refers to any social and organisational factor with the potential to cause psychological or physical harm. In relation to work, it covers anything in the design or management of work that can cause stress.
