WA recorded its tenth consecutive month of rising job ads according to May’s SEEK employment report, the longest stretch of continued ad growth in the country. The report also found that WA was the only state with an increase in applications per ad, up 2%.
In terms of unemployment, WA is experiencing record lows with 2.9% in April increasing slightly to 3.1% in May, based on data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
WA’s jobs boom has resulted in 41% of workers actively looking for new employment, according to The Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA’s June consumer confidence survey.
