According to the latest report from the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), commencements of apprentices and trainees in WA in the June quarter 2021 followed the national trend reaching 6,225 (up 139.3% from the June quarter 2020).
The increase in the June quarter was reported across nearly all industry sectors, with the largest increases in construction (up 5275 or 96.0%), administrative and support services (up 4300 or 294.0%) and accommodation (up 2995 or 110.4%).
