The WA Government has awarded $547,300 to six WA innovators, as part of the latest round of the X-TEND WA grants. X-TEND WA is a program within the New Industries Fund, that supports new and emerging innovative businesses across WA.
Recipients in this round include organisations delivering five regionally based programs and a female-led company focusing on funding for women entrepreneurs.
A First Nations’ entrepreneurial initiative in the East Kimberley region, led by women, explores bush food and botanical industry innovation. In the Peel region and beyond, the IDEAcademy Regional Development program will provide young entrepreneurs community-based entrepreneurship education, activated by Peel youth, industry, and allied service providers.
The deadline for round seven applications is 30 August, with the maximum grant increasing to $150,000.
