A consultation paper to seek industry’s views on removing the tertiary education requirements for financial advisers who have passed the exam, have 10 years’ experience in Australia and have a clean disciplinary record of financial practice has been released.
The consultation paper also proposes options for amending current education requirements on new industry entrants.
Anyone with an interest in the financial advice industry is encouraged to share their views on these proposals. Submissions are invited by email to FinancialAdvice@treasury.gov.au
