The latest census data shows an increase in the number of students choosing trades and vocational courses in Australia. In 2021, 177,032 more students were completing vocational studies compared to 2016. During the same period, 24,824 more people were studying at university.
The census data also showed that vocational students are getting older, with 63% aged 25 and older in 2021 compared to 57% in 2016.
