The government has announced new targeted measures to the Australia post-study work visa that will provide international students with some flexibility upon returning to Australia.
– Temporary graduates with expired visas can apply for replacement visas to re-enter Australia
– Government to increase the length of stay for 485 visa holders from two to three years
– VET sector graduates will also receive a two-year Temporary Graduate visa. Vocational students studying TAFE diplomas previously received a 18 months work visa if their skill was considered in shortage.
Visa settings will also extend existing measures for students and temporary graduates to recognise time spent offshore studying online to count towards qualifying for a temporary graduate visa.
